A Balanced Life
A balanced life derives from a balanced mind. How can your mind remain balanced in the midst of uncertainty? The answer is suggested in the Bhagavad Gita, which reminds us that we have control over our actions, but not over the fruits of our actions.

A balanced mind results from investing your attention in the best choice available to you at this moment, while relinquishing your attachment to the outcome. Established in present moment awareness, perform action, and your choices will provide the greatest benefit to you and all those affected by your choices. - Deepak Chopra

If it wasn’t for us weirdo’s, you normal people wouldn’t have anything to compare yourself to. – Frank Zappa

Hi Squeak... The template is messed up. I'll try later

A recent USA today study showed that one out of four people is unbalanced. Think of three friends. If they seem okay, it's you.

Education is the path of cocky ignorance to miserable uncertainty.

If you dance 'like no one is watching' you will look like a dork and yes, they will be watching.

Krispy Kreme Dognuts... I mean come on. Whats all the fuss. They're just a glazed doughnut. We don't have a KK here. But that doesn't stop them.... No... they drive three hours to the nearest KK and bring them back here to sell on street corners. I've watched people drive across two lanes into oncoming traffic, taking life and limb just for the privilege of paying $6.00 to some moron for a dozen 1/2 day old donuts that are all glaze welded together from sitting in the hot sun.

College student 'fired arrow at native American teacher'

A US college student has been disciplined for allegedly shooting a rubber-tipped arrow at a native American teacher.

Michael D Johnson, from Long Island, New York, was charged with disorderly conduct following the incident at the State University College at Oswego.

He is accused of running into a Native American Studies class on Halloween wearing a toy headdress and firing the arrow at teacher Kevin White.

Johnson told police he didn't know White was an Akwesasne Mohawk.

Police said: "This didn't appear to be a hate crime. I don't think he realised the reaction it would get."

Johnson could face a fine or up to 15 days in jail when he appears in court next month.
